We've been to Burning Man 5 times. And almost every night, when it's coldest, or we were just too tired to explore, we had a quest - to find some cozy and warm place to rest, chill, and wait for the sun to warm us up. Someplace to hide from all this beautiful madness, someplace quiet and cozy. Sometimes we were lucky and stumbled upon some art object which fit the criteria, sometimes Temple was perfect for it, or some random camp. But sometimes no luck, and we were miserably wandering deep playa, seeking for shelter.
During these years, we discussed in detail what we were looking for, and visualized it many times. And this year we decided to quit looking and talking and build it ourselves, a place which we were looking for many years. "Welcome home," they say, but home is something you create, right?
It's called - Owl Nest. Why an owl? Owls are cool, what more explanations do you need? For me, it's the coolest bird ever. It has fluffy weathers and magical eyes, perfect for Burning Man. And I personally know a couple of owls and can vouch for them.
Owl Nest will fit two people comfortably hugging each other and will have some surprises in it. It will be warm, cozy, and will help you to seek escape from all the madness. Owls are highly intelligent and caring birds and will definitely care for one of their own.
We started(as we usually do) with some nice pictures. In my experience, pictures are the right thing to bring people together behind an idea, to shape their vision into one and to help them to build something together.
We began this some time ago, and right now it's time to bring it to the active phase. With some luck, you will be able to chill in the nest somewhere deep playa this year. So, the nesting period begins!
